For zombie fanatics out there, I have some great news now that winter is coming: you can keep your feet warm by wearing these amazing zombie plush slippers that I have found. They look absolutely amazing, they are extremely warm and you can’t really call yourself a zombie fan unless you have at least one pair. The best thing is that these sizes usually fit most shoe sizes (unless you have really large feet) so you don’t have to worry about anything.

These being said, for all zombie fans out there, here are some amazing zombie themed slippers to keep you warm and entertained over the winter. Or whenever you feel like literally putting your feet through a zombie’s head!

Zombies Afoot Plush Slippers

These are, in my opinion, the second best looking zombie slippers out there. They’re green, they’re hideous, one has an eye dangling out of its socket while the other has the tongue out. They look great and feel great. They’re not cheap, but they’re worth every cent as these are some quality crafted plush slippers, which are fun to wear and warm. Click here to get your pair today!

Zombie Monster Slippers

If you’re looking for something even more fun than the pairs recommended above, then this one’s for you! I think the zombie looks a bit like Homer Simpson, and that’s always a bonus. I am not really the biggest fan of this design, but you still get a nice bang for your back and a crazy, brain-loving infected chewing on your feet (of course, that will happen just in your mind!). Zynga Use Zombies to Promote Zombie Swipeout iPhone Game

You’ve got to love it when a games company invests some thought in how to promote a product they’re about to launch and FarmVille-maker Zynga surely proved that they take things seriously. (photos below)

The company plans to launch an iPhone game, Zombie Swipeout, which is something like the popular Fruit Ninja game, but with zombies, which already makes it better in my opinion.

However, it’s not the game that I am here to discuss, but the way Zynga decided to promote it: they started by sending three zombies over at the offices of Games.com, having a box of Blood Pop ice cream. Amazing!

The costumes were also amazing, as well as the make-up. What makes it even better, if you live in Manhattan or San Francisco, is that you have a chance to see the zombies yourself because Zynga really gets serious when it comes to promotion. And coolness, clearly.

Check out the amazing photos of Zombies promoting Zombie Swipeout:

The 10 Best Zombie Board Games for You to Enjoy

While we wait for the zombie apocalypse to come and battle for survival in real life, we can certainly get prepared and entertained at the same time by playing some zombie board games.

I am a huge fan of board games (and obviously zombies) and therefore I have decided to share with you a list of the 10 best Zombie Board games that you should play with your friends.

I have decided not to place these zombie board games in a specific order – they are all extremely fun and enjoyable and I am sure you’ll love playing them all. Check out the list below and let me know if you agree that these are the 10 Best Zombie Board Games ever!

Escape Room Z

zombies-escape-tmb-600x

This is technically not a board game, but I’d say it’s even better!

Escape Room Z is a printable escape room game made by Lock Paper Scissors. True to the spirit of escape rooms, Escape Room Z is a challenging puzzler that takes a team of 3-6 people up to one hour to solve (you could play it with just two, or even by yourself, but you’d have to be pretty clever to solve all the puzzles in time!).

The aim of this whimsical, but challenging game is to recover your pizza, unlock the gun cabinet, and escape the zombie horde before they can devour you, and your pizza, whole! (of course, the game works even better if you order a real pizza as a prize…)

This makes for the perfect main event of a zombie party, or for an excitingly novel zombie game night – because it’s also completely customisable, and scalable to any number of players.

If you’re looking for a new experience beyond traditional board games, I can’t recommend Escape Room Z highly enough. Want more info? You can check out my playthrough of the game here.

The Walking Dead Board Game

Even though most of the popularity of this zombies board game comes from the fact that it’s based on the hit TV series, The Walking Dead Board Game is actually a pretty solid title. Even better, you can play as the zombies too, not only as the survivors and I am sure you’ll love creating alliances with other players, blow zombie heads with shotguns and fight to make it back to camp alive. High replayability value, each game lasts around 1 hour and can be played by 2 to 4 players. Click here to get The Walking Dead Board Game and find out more about it.

Last Night On Earth – The Zombie Game

A modular board game that can be played by up to six players and lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, Last Night on Earth offers a truly cinematic experience to players: as the Heroes, you will be fighting against the hordes of zombies to make it through the night or, if you prefer, you can play as the enemy and do your best to stop the heroes. The game comes with several scenarios that change the game so replay value is really high, making this board game one of the best zombie ones out there. Click here to find out more about Last Night On Earth – The Zombie Game.

Zombies!!!

Probably one of the best known and most successful Zombie board games, Zombies!!! (which also has a ton of expansions for you to try) puts you in the middle of the action as you try to escape the ever advancing zombie horde. Players must use a combination of wits and brawn to be the first to the heliport and certain escape. The only problem is, the zombies are everywhere, they appear to be very hungry and your opponents would really prefer if you didn’t escape. Games can last up to two hours and the base game can be played by up to 6 players. Click here to get and find out more about the amazing board game Zombies!!!

Zombie Survival (The Board Game)

An amazing, true zombie survival game. The mysterious event that has animated the dead has also given them an unhealthy hunger… for brains! The only way to survive is to fortify your house and make your stand. How long can you survive? In Zombie Survival, you choose your provisions to survive a zombie apocalypse. Each player selects items to place in their house, including weapons, lumber, gas, first aid, etc. Then the game brings your fears to light as the zombies start heading towards your house, tearing down your barricades and creeping in. You may have a chance to make it to town for some additional supplies, hopefully avoiding the zombies there, leaving your family to defend against the walking dead. Did you prepare for the possible power outage, contaminated water, sickness and fatigue? How long can you feed your family and keep them healthy? Only the best prepared will survive to win! Click here for more details about Zombie Survival (The Board Game)

MidEvil Deluxe

A spin-off (there are very few of these in the world of board games), MidEvil Deluxe is based on Zombies!!! – the survivors have escaped, only to find themselves facing other dangers. Although this is not really a zombies board game, it fits the description of the undead (you battle skeletons here) and is really fun! Check out Amazon’s page for MidEvil Deluxe for more details.

Zombie State: Diplomacy Of The Dead

You are the world leader of a group of nations. Each turn zombies feed and randomly spread throughout your territory quickly reducing your population and increasing the number of zombies. At the beginning of the game you have no technologies or military that are effective against the viral threat on a worldwide scale. Each turn you must maximize the use of resources to draft and use military test technologies and then strategically use these successfully tested technologies. As the game progresses outbreaks and the spread of zombies makes the game more difficult through a loss of population resources and freedom to act. Find out more here.

Zombie Town

The dead are rising from the graveyard which is conveniently located in the middle of your residential neighborhood. There is no way out of the neighborhood, so you must scrounge as much stuff (weapons, barricades, survivors, etc.) from your neighbors to survive until help arrives. The game lasts for 10 days, and by the 10th day the neighborhood is filled with zombies to say the least and your neighbors are no longer your friends. A minimum of three players is required to play the game (max 6) and you can find out more about Zombie Town on Amazon.

All Things Zombie

Each counter represents one survivor or one zombie. You choose your star, your mini-me if you will, and arm him or her with one of four weapon types. But you are not alone as you then recruit a fewother survivors to form your group. Then it is off to explore a beautifully detailed map representing deserted cities, suburbs, and rural areas. But are they really deserted? Not if you count thezombies, the seemingly endless hordes of zombies. But soon you realize that the zombies may be the least of your worries as you run into other survivors. Are they friendly or hostile? Well, the game mechanics determine that. With luck you can recruit them to use in future games. But sometimes it spins out of control. Which leads us to combat. There is two ways to have combat in ATZ. Trust me on this shooting is what you want to do. Yes, when facing one zombie it is easy to handle him in hand-to-hand combat but get them in bunches and that is when they are really dangerous. Better to shoot them from afar. Find out more about All Things Zombie here.

Zombiegeddon

Reiner Knizia’s Zombiegeddon is a fast-paced, perfect-information, strategy game. Each player spends the first half of the game rushing around the board collecting supplies and trying to stop your pesky neighbors from taking stuff that is rightfully yours. (At least as far as you are concerned!) The second half of the game is spent trying to survive. Sure there is some good stuff around, but it certainly isn’t plentiful and let’s face it, everyone is still trying to take it before you do! (Whoever has the most stuff at the end of the game wins!) Sounds nice? Then get the game here.

And there you have it – the list of the best 10 zombie board games out there. If you are wondering why on earth there are just 9 games listed, it’s very simple: the last one was eaten by zombies and didn’t make it! 🙂

Now let us know which of these great zombie board games is your favorite!
Psst…. If you’ve fallen in love with board games, check these ones out. Before long, you’ll be a hopeless board game zombie too!

Zombie Short: Fear of the Living Dead

I just stumbled upon this short movie, Fear of the Living Dead and I decided to share it with you, especially since it’s free to watch and has something that we all like: zombies.

It all starts pretty nicely: a woman, an axe and some solid zombie bashing but evolves soon into something I don’t necessarily like – or ends with that. Yes, I don’t want to spoil things, but I didn’t really like the ending.

However, Fear of the Living Dead is clearly a worth seeing flick – it’s just 15 minutes long and even though we’re not talking about Oscar quality stuff here, it has its moments. So check out this zombie short below:

What do you think about Fear of the Living Dead?

Exit Humanity Trailer Brings Zombies to the Civil War

I’m not necessarily a fan of zombie movies set in the past simply because they lose credibility (even though for many zombies themselves come with a lack of credibility), but this trailer for the upcoming Exit Humanity seems pretty impressive.

Set in the times of the Civil War, Exit Humanity tells, according to the plot summary, the story of a “young man’s struggle to survive in the aftermath of a deadly undead outbreak”. So expect to see zombies, two sides amongst which one seems to be even worse than the zombies and overall a pretty exciting movie. I, personally, can’t expect to get my hands on it and check it out.

Pretty impressive!

Dani Baro’s Amazing Zombie House

Dani Baro is an amazing dude. In case you didn’t hear about him, he’s the one that decided to create his own anti-zombie or zombie survival house – he calls it the “anti zombie bunker” – in case something wrong happens. And even if it doesn’t that bunker looks like an amazing place to live in.

[quads id=1]

His bunker is surrounded by a wall that’s three meters thick and had everything one would need in case a zombie apocalypse comes from ’round the corner: enough water, food and storage space for weapons to last a single human being for 6 months without having to leave the facility once. There’s also a tuned and tweaked truck ready to go bashing through the zombies, an emergency exit area, a yard for cultivating vegetables (and probably raising some animals), maps, radios and even a crematory to burn all those living dead that get too close. In other words, dude’s got everything inside!

I am completely fascinated by this project – Dani’s been working at his anti-zombies bunker for some time now and the project is still unfinished – and I really hope that some day he will manage to get it done. If he manages to bring in some solar power for electricity, I am sure that he’ll be the owner of a real gem, no matter if a zombie apocalypse kicks in.

Check out below some more images of the amazing anti-zombie bunker made by Dani Baro, somewhere near Barcelona, Spain:

The entrance of the anti-zombies bunker

Some of the food supplies in the kitchen

Water storage containers and the cool 4×4

More of the modified 4×4

What do you think about this anti-zombie house?

I know I for one would be sitting pretty inside, playing all the zombie games I could get my hands on!

This Chinese Zombie 108 Movie Looks Amazing!

Usually, zombie movies mean “low budget” flicks with no real value added to them and that gets even worse for foreign zombie movies. However, I just received a trailer for an upcoming Chinese (or Japanese, can’t say for sure) zombie movie title Zombie 108. And it looks hot like hell!

Here’s the synopsis of the upcoming film: “The nuclear disaster that Japan suffered accidentally alters the genes of the influenza virus. A group of young people get infected and haven’t paid any attention to their illness, until a boy surprisingly bites a girl’s throat in a drunken night out. Their friends start screaming at the gushing blood. After the viral event, the government orders to quarantine the sick and evacuate all residents in the vicinity. But those drunk party people are not aware of this message. Meanwhile, the army and the police join hands to form a SWAT team to enter the quarantined zone. Those survivors suddenly become zombies to attack the living. In no time, the whole city is film with such huge bloodshed. People from all walks of life – including gangsters, policemen, SWAT teams and the civilians – are willing to work together to escape, but they have hidden schemes to compete with and they may even kill each other.” (you gotta love the Engrish, too!)

Unfortunately, no extra information was available about Zombie 108 and the movie is not featured on IMDB, but it sure looks like one hell of a project with a pretty big budget too – so if you find let, let me know where so that I can see it too!

Anything Zombie, Under New Management

Hello there, zombie lovers (I know it sounds bad, but I’m also sure you know what I mean). It’s been a short while since the owner of Anything Zombie has changed and I took the blog from Chinaren (the previous owner of the blog, if that’s not clear). Unfortunately, in the process, most of the content here was lost but hopefully that loss will be soon forgotten and replaced with extra, fresh and zombielicious content.

My name is Calin, but for the purposes of this blog I’ve chosen to go for a pen name – an uninspired Zombie Man, that is – and I plan to deliver all the excitement that surrounds the zombie mania as often as possible.

I just had to tweak the blog a little bit – and there’s still a some work to be done, but mainly I can say that everything is working just fine or seems to be working just fine and zombie content will start to find its way here regularly.

As I said in the About page, you should expect to find here anything related to the zombie mania, from personal thoughts to zombie book and movie reviews, news and game spotlighting, plus images that might make you go “Awwww” or give birth to that urge of getting a shotgun and blowing a zombie’s head off.

So thanks for bearing with me and the blog during this ownership change and let’s hope that the future is bright for Anything Zombie!

Biofrenzy

I’ve been quite into a zombie game on my Android device lately, and I was wondering if I should post this here or on my Crentech blog, but here won out in the end.

Anyway, you can play BioFrenzy on most Android devices as a good stress reliever. It’s a side shooter with a vast array of weapons and options, which gives the game a much longer lifespan that it would otherwise have, given its fairly repetitive nature.

There’s the almost obligitory chainsaw, shotgun, flamethrower and much more, up to a Aliens type robot suit which you buy from dropped coins from the re-dead.

Some of the zombies remind me of those in Plants vs Zombies, as they wear a bucket on their head. Perhaps they’re moonlighting.

Anyway, you can see a promo on the video below. I know it says it’s for the iPhone, but ignore that. (Does anyone still use an iPhone? How quaint.) A QR code is below too, ‘cos I’m just that helpful.
