The Silent City Launch Trailer Is Absolutely Amazing!

You probably remember about The Silent City – a new web series that got funded via Kickstarter.

Today I found out that the creators of The Silent City have kept their promise and even though the launch of the web series is a little late, we can see that it was totally worth the wait. Check out the launch trailer for The Silent City before we discuss about anything else:

And now that you’ve seen the trailer, I am sure you have many words of praise for The Silent City so feel free to post your comments in the comment section below.

Personally, I think that The Silent City has the potential to become an epic hit: an indie zombie / post apocalyptic movie to show to other directors and producers and say “That’s how you do it!”

How to Zombie-Proof Your Home (Infographic)

I am sure that we all consider that we know the best way to zombie-proof our homes in case of a Zombie Apocalypse, but it’s always a good idea to have some specialist confirm that your ideas are good. This is the case of the Infographic below that shows the must-have elements of any anti-zombie house.

[quads id=1]

It’s all pretty basic and I am sure that every fan of the zombie genre won’t be blown away with the recommendations, but then again there’s this much you can do when it comes to securing your home and making it zombie-proof. Check out the image below (click to enlarge):

It’s all easy, except for the land mines and concrete walls… but one zombie fan can only dream…

…though, what are you gonna do when you’re stuck inside your zombie-proof fortress? I’d recommend checking out Escape Room Z. It’s a printable escape room game that I played with my friends one game night, and I really enjoyed it. You can read all about our epic escape room adventure here.

Zombie Playground Looks Like a Really Cool Project

Honestly, I kind of started to get bored with all these Kickstarter campaigns: everybody seems to need a lot of money to do something that looks really crappy. But when I found about Zombie Playground, I really had a change of heart because this game looks incredibly awesome!

Here’s the story, put short: “In Zombie Playground you take on the role of a kid during a zombie apocalypse as seen through his or her imagination. Your school is overrun by the undead, and it’s up to you and your friends to do whatever it takes to survive!

Zombie Playground is an online, team based, action arena game with RPG elements. Gameplay will be deep, challenging, and rewarding. The game combines childhood nostalgia with horrific monsters, visceral combat, and a unique atmosphere straight out of a child’s nightmares. We do want to make it very clear: this is not a game for kids!”

The art of Zombie Playground is illustrated by Jason Chan who proves that he is extremely skilled. I simply love the first images and concept art – and I invite you to check them out below:

If you want to find out more about Zombie Playground, good news – their kickstarter was a big success, and the game is still going strong. You can check out their website here.

The Walking Dead Season 3 Character First Look: Michonne!

At the end of the second season of The Walking Dead, we got just a short glimpse at one of the upcoming characters of the series: Michonne. Now it has been officially confirmed by the producers of the show that katana-wielding Michonne will be played by Danai Guira. Even better, we have a photo of it and she looks amazing!

Executive producer Robert Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly: “The essence of the character — her personality, her motives, everything that makes Michonne Michonne — remains intact from the comics. But like a lot of things on the show, there will be little tweaks and differences here and there. We saw that her introduction is slightly different from how it was in the comic, and her interaction with Andrea is really going to be a really cool addition to the character that I think will get television viewers up to speed, and they’ll get to know her a lot faster than comic book readers did.”

And she certainly looks good and you can check out the first look at Michonne in The Walking Dead. We’ll see her in Season 3, soon!

What do you think about Michonne?

Zynga Use Zombies to Promote Zombie Swipeout iPhone Game

You’ve got to love it when a games company invests some thought in how to promote a product they’re about to launch and FarmVille-maker Zynga surely proved that they take things seriously. (photos below)

The company plans to launch an iPhone game, Zombie Swipeout, which is something like the popular Fruit Ninja game, but with zombies, which already makes it better in my opinion.

However, it’s not the game that I am here to discuss, but the way Zynga decided to promote it: they started by sending three zombies over at the offices of, having a box of Blood Pop ice cream. Amazing!

The costumes were also amazing, as well as the make-up. What makes it even better, if you live in Manhattan or San Francisco, is that you have a chance to see the zombies yourself because Zynga really gets serious when it comes to promotion. And coolness, clearly.

Check out the amazing photos of Zombies promoting Zombie Swipeout:

In The Flesh Zombie Series in Development at BBC

I am glad to see that big TV networks start to pay a bit more attention to the zombie genre and the latest to join the ranks, probably encouraged by the success of The Walking Dead, is BBC. They are planning to start a new TV series called In The Flesh and I must admit that the premise is extremely interesting!

Here is how BBC themselves describe In The Flesh:

New writer Dominic Mitchell’s first TV commission was developed by the BBC Drama Production team in Salford and discovered through ‘Northern Voices’, a BBC Writersroom competition.

His script begins after the Zombie Uprising has been quelled by the Human Volunteer Force and life is starting to return to normal. Any surviving zombies have been captured, medicated, held in an NHS holding facility in Norfolk and are being slowly re-integrated back into society, with the help of contact lenses and cover up mousse. The story follows teenager Kieran Walker and boldly goes where no zombie drama has gone before.

I never was a fan of the idea of trying to re-integrate zombies into society, but things could always go really wrong and I have a feeling that they will. Also, I am pretty encouraged by In The Flesh and UK zombie movies especially since a while ago BBC delivered the amazing Dead Set.

Zombie Game: Which Celebrities Would Join You in a Zombie Apocalypse?

Well, if the zombie apocalypse will come right now and you would have to team up with some celebrities, probably they wouldn’t really be the celebrities you wanted (sorry, Chuck Norris fans!).

I have stumbled upon this great birthday game that tells you the team of celebrities you’d be part of in the case of a zombie apocalypse. Check out the image below to decide what your team would look like:

I would have a really hardcore team, actually, since my team of zombie apocalypse survivors would be with Olivia Benson, Kim Kardashian and Sephiroth.

What about you? How would you survive the zombie apocalypse?

This fun little game could make a great ice-breaker for a zombie party. Of course, the main event would be Escape Room Z – the printable zombie escape room game that is absolutely thrilling! I played it for a game night one weekend with my friends, and we all loved it! Check out my game playthrough for yourself here.
